Northeastern Colorado Heritage League
Promoting the history, culture, and genealogy of the
Northeastern Colorado Plains
Colorado isn't generally known for its plains, and yet the majority
of the state is covered by rolling grasslands and prairies which
house family farms, cattle ranches and settlements, large and
small.
Our plains carry a history of the Pawnee and the
Arapahoe, of the early inhabitants, the settlers, the
immigrants, and the hardscrabble farmers of the 20s
and 30s.They came here to settle, to raise families, to
build a life on the land.
These pages are a tribute to the rich heritage found here
on the grasslands and the prairies, and to the strength
of the people who lived our history: the natives and
pioneers and workers of the land and those who founded
the cities and towns. This is our history, these are our
lives.
These pages are constantly being updated, please check back often, and let us know if you would like to have a heritage page for your Northeastern Colorado
Community /Organization added to our site, or if you would like to have us add a link to your website.
